18th century walnut Strasbourg wardrobe

Exceptional walnut quality for this gendarme hat cupboard, curved front and sides. The large fluted corner pilasters, topped with Ionic capitals, recall the design of masterful masterpieces distributed in the 18th century by the corporation of French carpenters in Strasbourg. The pediment is topped with a cartouche flanked by laurel wreaths, in the center of which initials. The motif of the doors is with kidneys, the corner fittings are finely carved with beaded foliage. The sides are paneled, in the center an oval medallion. The feet are top-shaped, typical of the Strasbourg Louis XVI style. Beautiful cremone and period lock.
