DECK Théodore - LARGE PIE DISH SIGNED BY DECK (1823-1893)

Original ceramic dish featuring two magpies whose plumage in contrasting colors allows Théodore Deck to highlight his technique on metallic reflections. The decor is signed by Eugène Carrière ( 1846-1906). Deck will owe a large part of its fame to its research on colors, it obtained its first distinctions at the heart of its participations in international exhibitions in particular for the famous "Blue Deck". Théodore Deck (1821-1893). Dish signed under the base Th DECK in red and the stamp of the effigy of Deck in hollow.
