Popular Art Polychrome Wardrobe Dated 1827

Probably made for a wedding, with in the pediment, its cartridge linking two names and a date: 1827, this rare cabinet is decorated with an original polychromy developing scenes of villages, houses, gardens, flower garlands, lambrequins and atmospheres lakes. Each panel of the doors is embellished with a laurel wreath, the side uprights are decorated with balusters and draperies and a pattern simulating the striking of grapes, they are topped with Corinthian capitals painted in trompe l'oeil. Brass keyholes decorated with repoussé motifs. The piece of furniture is in good original condition, easily removable, it is made up of two modules assembled from below and below by large bolts, probably replaced. This type of cabinet with an original and period decor is extremely rare. It is probably a work of Swiss assembly, it is a piece of furniture with incredible charm which will be able to set the tone and an original note in a warm mountain atmosphere. Period 1st third of the 19th century.
