Decorated with leafy scrolls for this small hexagonal bowl which will serve as an empty pocket or baguier. Théodore Deck (1823-1891) created a number of small everyday objects, such as small vases, cups, ring sizers and empty pockets, whose decorations are inspired by motifs from Chinese or Japanese art, Japanism being very fashionable in the last third of the 19th century. Our small cup is signed under the Th.Deck base.
