Model of a 19th century earthenware stove

Companionship work, perhaps a preparatory piece for a master's degree, or the scale model of a stove project for a castle in the Rhine valley. Rare model of a 19th century earthenware stove with a remarkable green glaze.
This beautiful object may have come from one of those workshops in which Théodore Deck learned his skill as a stove maker, a period during which he discovered all the secrets of earthenware. At the beginning of his career, to perfect his apprenticeship, he made a journey of companionship in several workshops of renowned stovemakers: Hügelin in Strasbourg, then in Austria and in the Rhine countries, before arriving at the stovemaker Vogt in Paris.
The 19th century pitcher is a piece from the Wildenstein glassworks in Alsace, these workshops produced until 1884.
The composition of fruit painting, oil on canvas, signed Emmanuel Fries, Mulhouse artist of the 19th century.
