Small chest of drawers 18th century walnut marquet

Rare small chest of drawers of great finesse, inlaid with walnut, decorated with simulated fluting, alternating threads of light and dark wood surround reserves of burly walnut, sheathed legs finished at their base with a bronze shoe. The top is lined with a wooden gallery, the chest of drawers opens with three drawers, two on the front and one on the side, the interior of which is compartmentalized with a layout intended to receive inkwells and quills. On the front there is a pull tab serving as a writing desk. Probably high quality Strasbourg work. Beautiful proportions and good state of conservation.
