A LOCK FROM A CURVED BUFFET FROM STRASBOURG

This lock is from the outstanding two-part buffet, curved on 3 sides. The eaves are in gendarm’s hat style, finely sculpted with laurel foliage and scrollwork, typical Alsatian decoration. The bottom of the wardrobe is floored with oak wood as curved wardrobes, Strasbourg masterpieces during the XVIIIth century, in walnut wood.
